Honolulu Marathon 2008

Early in the morning marathoners from all around the globe run the Honolulu streets. It was around 3:30am when I heard the first buses showing up to take the early birds to the starting point of the marathon. A 26 mile competition that once a year brings together thousands of people with once single goal, to cross the finish line.
Kalakahua avenue was flooded with people, runners, family and friends cruising around enjoying the morning and its fair weather. For the past three days it has been raining so much, however the runners were lucky, it did not rain on them. An atmosphere of high energy and excitement lighted up my day.
While I was walking and looking at people, one of my friends said hi! Emanuele from Virginia. We walked and talked for a few minutes and got mixed in with the crew.
